Matthew Weston

We welcomed Matthew Weston into our family at 8:33 on Saturday night. We are thankful for our sweet little boy! He weighed 7lbs. 2oz.

Weston was a good boy, like his big brother, and came on his due date. I was not expecting to have him that day cause I thought there was no way that could happen to me twice, but before the day was over I was holding him in my arms.

He had a crazy entrance into this world and arrived in under an hour from the time we arrived at the hospital. I was just thankful we made it to the hospital and he wasn't born on the side of the road. :)

Riley was so excited to meet his little brother and absolutely adores him! He is always asking to hold him and has, so far, been good with him.

We were able to go home from the hospital on Sunday night.

Matt took me out to dinner for Mother's Day... Riley loves playing in the hose... a weekend away with my man... 35 weeks... Riley wasn't too sure about the cold springs... he loved holding his newest cousin...

what's up

I am so bad at blogging so I'm going to do some catching up from May and June. I still have pictures from May that I need to post.

 

 In May, Matt and I had a nice weekend away by ourselves. My in-laws were sweet to watch Riley for us and I think he greatly enjoyed his time with them.



 

We also got to take another trip to the beach earlier this month. We wanted to make a trip there with Riley before the baby comes.

My handsome men on Father's Day. I'm so thankful for the daddy that Matt is to Riley and will be to the new little boy.

At the end of May, the church had a double shower for Katie and I. We were very blessed by the many gifts we received for our little man.

 

Now we are just waiting for our little guy to arrive any day now.





living room

I've been working on a small makeover in the living room. I have tried, I think, four different curtain options since we moved in and I'm finally happy with the fourth! Once the curtains were made I wanted to make pillow covers with the new design that I've been making for Etsy.

I've also wanted to paint the coffee table for awhile now and after it sat in the garage for four weeks, I was able to finish it.

I replaced the knobs with glass ones.

I also repainted the end table. The only before picture I have is this one where you can see the table in the background.

I had ideas for the green walls flanking the fireplace but once I found the canvas on the left that matched the room perfectly I had a change of plans.
