July 4th weekend

Yes, I am just now posting pictures from July 4th. I didn't get near as many pictures from that time as I would have liked. It was good to see Mae and her family and I enjoyed a short visit with her.

This was Riley's second parade but since his first parade was when he was 4 months old, this was his first one to enjoy.

We met up with a lot of our family at the parade.

It can't be a Williston parade without a monster truck!

Riley held these DOTS the whole parade and by the end of it he was almost reaching the candy as he had eaten a hole through the box.

We continued our tradition with going to both Williston and Ocala's fireworks. Also as every other July 3rd and 4th goes, it rained soon before the fireworks and then cleared up in time for the fireworks. It was actually cool enough the evening of the 4th for me to wear a light jacket! Riley liked watching the fireworks and wasn't scared of them at all.

Matt loves having a truck and parked in a place that only a truck could park. :)

Father's Day

So somehow this post got left in the draft folder... oh well, better late than never!

My two favorite guys! I'm so thankful Matt is the daddy to this little guy. He is so helpful and so much stronger as a parent than I am. I couldn't do it without him... I love you Matt!

Riley was enjoying his Grandaddy rocking him!

the latest

We recently welcomed a new nephew into the family-Jonathan Morgan.

This past weekend we went to the beach with some of our family. Riley liked playing in the sand, but didn't appreciate how cold the water was.

It started out an overcast, foggy day but turned into a beautiful sunny afternoon.

I caught little Jackson smiling in his sleep.

Matt buried Riley in the sand. I think he was trying to dig himself out. :)

Olivia was watering herself in the ocean!

family time

We recently had family come in to town and enjoyed spending time with them.

These two little guys were fun to watch together. They would take toys from each other, but without getting upset.

Riley got lots of attention from his cousins...

Spending time with Grandaddy.

We've taken Riley in the pool a couple of times now...this was his first time.

the weekend

We spent most of this past weekend in Miami visiting Joe and Amanda. We had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed seeing more of Miami.

We visited an old estate near where they live. The grounds were gorgeous and the houses were really neat.

A beautiful view of the ocean from one of the houses.

It was a perfect day to go to the beach with the hot sun and cool water. We went out to Key Biscayne and the water was so crystal clear.

It took Riley a little bit to get use to the water and then he loved it!

On Saturday night, the guys were determined to get some coconuts out of Joe's trees in the backyard. Joe first stood on a ladder and threw an extension cord in the air trying to hook one of the coconuts. After that didn't work Matt climbed the tree and loosened them. In the end I think the extension cord was what brought down two coconuts. I tried coconut milk for the first time--it wasn't bad. I wasn't too impressed by the fresh coconut though as it didn't have much flavor and was soggy. I didn't get a chance to try it once it was dried out.

Black Point Marina

The rest of the weekend and holiday was spent in Tampa. Riley drank his fill of saltwater by sucking on his hands at all times in the water. Of course he also didn't mind the taste of sand.
