Sun n' Fun

Finally getting around to posting pictures from Sun n' Fun. We had a fun time even though it was a super hot day!

Standing in front of the Geico race car.

Enjoying a snack...

This was a crazy stunt done with a real plane and an RC. The bottom one is the RC plane. You totally couldn't tell that the RC wasn't a real plane, minus the fact that the real plane was much faster.

The Geico Skytypers were there...

This year they didn't have any current military planes performing. A local jet team took the place of the Blue Angels. They of course weren't as good as the Blue Angels, but still put on a great show.

8 months...the fair...& more

Riley is 8 months old today! He started getting himself into a sitting position and pulling up last week. He is working on cutting his first tooth. He hasn't started crawling on his knees yet but he uses his arms and legs to do an army crawl and can get around quite fast. He loves to see himself in mirrors and he likes taking a bath. He likes eating and goes crazy when you have a drink with a straw or a frappe cause he likes to try to drink out of straws.

This is how I found him this morning...

On Thursday night, we went to a fair they had in Williston this weekend. They have the fair every year, but this was our first year to go.

Riding the Ferris wheel.

We met up with two guys from church. They did some of the crazy rides with Matt.

They didn't have very many animals at the fair yet since we went on the first night. They did have these hilarious stuck up llamas.

This was not only Riley's first time to ride a carousel, but mine too. They were missing the carousel music though. :(

Riley also likes to play the piano. I actually don't know what he likes better -- the book or the piano.

He likes to play in his new walker...

We went to Sun n' Fun this past weekend so I'll get those pictures up sometime. I've got a lot of sewing and picture editing going on these days so blogging doesn't usually make it to the top of the "to do" list.

Phone Shots--March

Riley got his face painted, just waking from a nap, yummy Cajun chicken pasta, tuckered out, ready for nap time, "driving" dad's semi...
chillin' at a rehearsal, us after a wedding, he's going to be a Ford guy, his first time to sleep through the night, enjoying a sweet tea while editing pictures, hanging out on the hammock, our new stove, enjoying puffs, helping fold clothes...
attempting to crawl, out on a date, the little dude, out for a walk on a beautiful evening, waking up happy, two cousins hanging out...

life.

It's been busy...seems like it always is. Time keeps flying by and you can't get it back. Riley is a daily reminder of that. He's growing up way too fast for this mommy. He army crawls everywhere and loves to play with anything that isn't a toy(or anything he shouldn't play with). He now likes baby food and sometimes a little taste of our food. He loves to eat puffs, but doesn't understand how to release it from his hand to his mouth yet. He has started getting up on his knees in an attempt to learn to crawl and has tried to pull up, but hasn't been successful. Anyways...here are some pictures from March.

A couple of weeks ago we took him to the park and he enjoyed his time there.

Swinging with daddy.

A lady volunteered to take our picture.

Riley on his 7 month birthday...

Since Riley is such a good baby in public, I've gotten a couple of people asking if he cries so here's proof.

I love my baby boy!

I made another pallet sign for our house and am really happy with how it turned out. Matt and I also made a couple of shelves for the living room and I'll have to post pictures with a link to a tutorial soon.

Eating puffs.

We had a fun night, with the family, at the ball park celebrating Luke's birthday.

The birthday boy himself.

Even though this one turned out blurry I had to post it because I love Patrick's expression!

I love my baby's blue eyes! I was hoping he would get Matt's eyes and he did.

weekend fun

Last weekend, we went to visit Ryan, Joy and the kiddos. We had a great time hanging out with them. We also got to see Joe and Amanda on Saturday which was great!

MFI was having family day on Saturday so we got to spend the day there enjoying the festivities.

They had a cotton candy machine. I tried cotton candy for the first time and let's just say I haven't been missing a thing! It's cool looking and fun to watch being made, but the taste just isn't for me.

Bounce house for the kids

Riley got lots of attention!

Alayna showing off her butterfly.

Little miss Chetto's face...she found a friend there who she loved and would take snacks to get her to open them. She's a smart one!

Riley even got his face painted. He was actually pretty still. He just had to try to see what the paint brush was doing a couple of times.

They had two fire trucks there that the kids loved looking at and climbing in.

I think Alayna was doing the Gator chomp!

Matt and I took Riley, Caden and Alayna on a DC-3 ride. It's cool to be able to see into the cockpit while you're flying!

All hyper before take off.

The only time Alayna got a little bit frightened was when we went over the water she grabbed my arm and said she didn't want to get wet if we crashed.

And the plane ride put him to sleep.
