I'm still alive...

... for those who were wondering. So here are some miscellaneous pictures that I haven't posted.

At the end of January, my sisters and I flew Mae down for her birthday. It was a fun couple of days that were mostly spent with just women folk.

Here's a quick snapshot taken while getting ready for church two weeks ago. It was taken for the purpose of me remembering what my ever growing bump looks like. I was 16 weeks at the time.

Matt and I have been to two rodeos recently. Matt took these pictures at the Pee Wee Mercer Benefit Rodeo. Since Pee Wee died this year, this one was done in his memory.

I thought this one was funny with the bull going one way and the rider the opposite.

the shop

Joy and I have started an etsy shop to sell home decor, little girl's clothing, aprons etc. I thought I would post the link on here for those that are interested. We are open to custom orders so if there is something you like, but want it in a different color(s) or if you need a different size than listed let us know and we should be able to do it for you.

December

I am way behind on posting so, I'm just going to include all of December in one post.

It was so fun for Matt and I to share our first Christmas together as a married couple! We did our Christmas on Christmas Eve. That night we went to the square in Ocala to see the lights and we rode on the ferris wheel.

I really don't like the lighting in this picture, but it's the only one I have of us.

A little Christmas bokeh... our tree.

On Christmas Day we were with Matt's side of the family for the day.

Here's Ella with her newest cousin at the time.

Felicity and Zanna

Then the day after Christmas was spent with my side of the family.

The weekend after Christmas, Matt and I spent some time in Clearwater. Susan took our pictures while we were there.

Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving started out by spending some time with Matt's side of the family. Then we went to my parents house for the afternoon.

Christian was so cute and sweet with his newest cousin- Samuel.

Savannah

There are so many cute kids between mine and Matt's family. They're just asking you to take their pictures. :)

And of course it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without football. Some of Matt's brothers and all his bro-in-law's came over to Mom's to play football with my brothers.

It was great spending our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple! Thanks to Anna for the pictures.

We went out on Black Friday and got some good deals. We also set up our first Christmas tree. It was very bare for the first week, but it looks much better now. I'll post pics sometime of it and the tree skirt I made. I was really happy with how it turned out.

On Saturday we had two birthday parties. We met up with Matt's family at the bowling alley for Jeremy's birthday.

We then went to Hannah's house for Adrian's birthday party. They let people ride two of their horses, which the kids (and adults) loved.
It was a big deal for Caden to ride this horse!
And that would be my husband. :)

It's hard to believe that Christmas is next week! I'm excited about it, but don't want it to fly by like everything else these days. I will try to be more faithful with posting on my blogs, but I can only try.

I've been busy with house things and also making some things to sell on Etsy. Hopefully we'll be able to open the store in January and everyone will get to see what my sis and I have been up to.

an old post

I've had these pictures uploaded for over a week now, but never got to writing and posting it. These are just a couple pictures I've taken over the past month. I hope to post pictures from Thanksgiving week soon.

We went out to Inglis one night to watch the sunset and there were these beautiful flowers amongst a lot of mud in a field.

This picture is from the first fire we had in our fireplace. We've now had three fires. I absolutely love snuggling up next to a fire with Matt and enjoying some amazing hot chocolate that Matt makes.

I've been wanting to take pictures of Matt and I in the lot behind our house. So far that hasn't worked out, but I did take a couple of shots without us.

Chicken Ranch Fajitas

I've never posted a recipe on here, but this one was to good not to post.

I needed a fast chicken meal for last night and this is what I found on here. The recipe only serves two, but it's very easy to make more.

Ingredients:
12 oz. boneless skinless chicken, thawed and cut into strips (I used 2 pieces of chicken which makes 3-4 fajitas)
1/2 tsp. chili powder (I just sprinkled each side of the chicken strips in the pan)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (I also just sprinkled of each side of the chicken in the pan)
olive oil
1 small red, yellow, or green sweet pepper, seeded and cut into this strips
2 Tbsp ranch
2 - 10in tortilla shells
1/2 cup salsa
1/3 c. of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Pour a little oil in non stick frying pan. Place chicken and pepper strips in the pan and sprinkle with chili powder and garlic powder. Heat over medium - high heat. Cook chicken and pepper strips in hot skillet over for 4-6  min or until chicken is done. Drain if necessary. Toss with salad dressing. Divide chicken and pepper mixture between warm tortillas. Top with cheese and salsa.
